IOSH South Coast Branch

Aims

 

The South Coast Branch is to support IOSH in the promotion of best practice and continual improvement in work related occupational safety and health. To encourage sensible safety and health management and promote the ethos that, “good safety and health is good for business”.


Objectives

 

To manage the Branch in accordance with the IOSH Corporate Manual and maintain the good name of IOSH.

 

To promote the IOSH Strategy 2006 – 2010.

 

To promote “Continual Professional Development” for occupational safety and health professionals.

 

To provide opportunities for members to network, and share relevant experiences while encouraging members to advocate sensible risk management, continual improvement and best practice.

 

 

The branch committee will provide guidance and support to all grades of membership in achieving the “Chartered Member” status.  There is a Branch Education and Development Adviser (BEDA) who is available to form a mentorship programme that can be tailored to suit individual members needs.
